Ethan is now 18 months. Time really flies. Now that he is older he is much more social, and playful. Ethan weighs 25.13 lbs and is 34" tall. He still wears 18 months in shorts, but in 2T for shirts. He has a very long torso, long legs and a skinny waist.
Here are a few fun facts about Ethan these days:
- Words- Ethan babbles all day long. His new words are baaball (basketball), bayball (baseball), dirty, oohhh no, over dair (there), what dat (that), dis (this), drdle (turtle), bna (banana), WOW and No. He can understand most of what we say, and still uses hand gestures to communicate.
- Sounds - He knows the sound a cat, dog, duck and tiger make. Instead of meow for a cat he says neow. And for the duck sound, he says "duck".
- Body Parts - He knows is hair, ears, nose (when asked where his nose is, he sticks his finger right in his nostril), tongue, teeth, belly, feet, toes, fingers, knees and peepee. We need a new word for peepee... any suggestions?
- Teeth - Ethan has 14 teeth. All 4 first molars and his upper canines and upper and lower incisors.
- Food - Ethan loves black beans, ice cream sandwiches, avocados, cheddar cheese sticks, Trader Joes Honey wheat pretzels, cottage cheese and any pasta. He has 2 bottles of milk a day. We are working on weaning him off bottles all together.
- TV - Ethan still loooves Yo Gabba Gabba! He also loves The Upside Down Show and Sesame Street.
- Ethan'isms - Ethan is obsessed with anything soft. He rubs anything soft on is face, ear, arm and belly. It is so funny... he will raise his arm straight in the air, like he is going to answer a question, so we can rub his arm with his blanket. He does the same thing when he wants his belly rubbed; up goes his shirt. Also, he now takes off his diaper. After he takes it off, he comes to me and says "uh-oh". Ethan loves playing in dirt! He digs in it, throws it all over the place and then sweeps it back into the planter box. Funny boy. He is tall enough to open all drawers and doors in the house-nothing is safe now!
