Ethan became quite the seasoned traveler this Summer. He went to Washington DC, New York, Maryland and camping twice at Lake Cachuma. He rode on an airplane, the subway, Amtrak, took an elevator up 86 floors, rode in a horse-drawn carriage, went on lots of taxi rides and completed many, many miles in a stroller. Throughout all this, Ethan was still such a trooper!
Our second trip to Lake Cachuma was a blast. The only things missing were Jason, Camille and Michael. There was a large group of us this time; Auntie Karen and Uncle Niv; Nana and Grandpa; Aunt Linda, cousins Kristin & Kevin and Crystal.
All but the first day, the weather was perfect! The first day it was HOT! Hot is not too bad but when you mix in a ridiculous amount of annoying flies, it sucks.
We ate, drank, relaxed, fished, ate, drank, played games, rode bikes and ate some more.
Ethan's most favorite part of the trip was throwing rocks in the lake. Everyday for hours. Grandpa would line up his ammunition and Ethan would toss them in. Laughing every time.
One of the cutest and sweetest parts of the trip was at night with Ethan. He wanted to be a big kid and hang out with everyone by the fire at night. The second night we were there, I asked Ethan if he wanted to sit by the fire with everyone. Well, he shook his head "yes". How could I resist...so I put him in his PJ's, sat him in a chair with his blanket and pillow. He sat there in such peace and fell asleep. Ahhh...I love him!
Thank you everyone for a great trip and the wonderful memories. We had a lot of fun!
