Happy 1st Birthday Ethan!

Mike and I took Ethan to his 12-month appointment this afternoon. He had 2 shots (both in the same leg). Ethan weighs 22 pounds and half an ounce, which puts him in the 50th percentile. He is 32 inches tall and in the 90th percentile. Dr. Althoen said he is growing just perfectly. He even showed off his walking skills and took a few steps for her.

Ethan’s loves to push, throw, and knock everything down. He'll give you a toy as well as take one, and he likes games where he can put things in containers and dump them out again. Ethan has more interest in his stackable toys now. He understands how to stack smaller stars on top of larger stars. I love watching his little mind work.

We started giving Ethan whole milk in his sippy cups, which he loves! In addition to the whole milk, he has about 4 eight-ounce bottles of formula a day. We are using up the rest of the formula, and then he will be on 100% whole milk. Dr. Althoen also mentioned that we can turn around his car seat! We haven’t done so yet, probably within the next few weeks. It will be great to turn around and see him.

After his doctor’s appointment, we headed to Disneyland where we met up with Ethan’s Nana. Ethan got his first “Happy Birthday” pin from Disneyland. We went on a few rides and had cookies and milk. I was a fun night.

Thanks Nicole for the cute idea!

Love the hunny pot picture! Someday we'll have to get one of the kids together!
